Details on the Paintings and Prints

R.M.S.'QUEEN MARY'
Hudson River
berth, Manhattan Island, New York.
"This work in Indian Ink Wash was a result of painstaking research to accurately portray the the NewYork skyline in the 1950's. There were vitually no photos available showing this particular angle so I had to study over fifteen different photos, mostly aerial shots to compose this image. This painting was done entirely with brushes (no pens) and black Indian Ink dilluted with water to achieve the various highlights (no white inks were used at all) which I feel gives it a natural powerfull impact!".
